Maibockis our beer off the month for May….or Mai…..

This beer is actually a “Hellesbock” or a light -in color- member of the bock family.  A departure from traditional Mai Bock or Doppelbock beers, this lager is straw-colored and very malty.  Where it tends to separate itself is in its higher hop levels, giving it a crisp, spicy finish.  The St. Francis Maibock has become a bit of a tradition, being one of our four seasonal German lagers.
